About Us

Welcome to our family Farm. My name is Theresa and I currently run the farm with my mother Maria. As a small full farm we do our best to maintain a natural balance and stay as natural as possible. We do not use chemicals, pesticides, hormones or antibiotics with our crops or livestock.

Our Farm history started when my Great Grandparents Franz Joseph (originally VonBelfort, then later Bohle) immigrated to the United States from Germany married Maria Theresa.  They began their farm in North Jersey and moved to Egg Harbor Township in 1908. The farm house on our current location was built in 1910 by my Great Grandfather Franz Joseph and Grandfather Joseph Anton.
In 1933 my father Franz Joseph was born in our farmhouse.

Franz was hit by a mortar three days before the ceasefire. He was treated in a M*A*S*H unit then airlifted to a hospital. Franz returned to the farm used his GI bill to put himself through Art college in Boston, where he received his Master of Fine Arts. This is also where he met my mother Maria. Mom was a student in Harvard at the time.

Franz and Maria met through a mutual friend. Their friendship grew over time and they later married. Maria and Franz had me in 1980.

I grew up on the farm and knew at a young age I was going to be a farmer. I learned by helping my parents tending the animals and crops. Now I get to teach my children.
