Maria has been Director of the British Institute of Homeopathy USA office since 2001. She began her career in the Institute as an Instructor in 1995 and loves teaching and training tomorrow’s homeopaths. Maria is very passionate in what she does and guides every student in every step of the way. Prior to the Institute, Maria is a renowned herbalist and a professional homeopath in South Jersey where she helped adults and children deal with and overcome issues such as Post Emotional

Trauma, autoimmune disorders and nutritional imbalances.

Maria graduated from Harvard University in 1980 and pursued the study of Homeopathic Medicine in the late 1980’s after a homeopath cured her of a bad case of Lyme Disease. Maria had been ill for 3 years, on antibiotics, and felt she was dying. “I had chronic fatigue, mental impairment, joint pains and digestive issues. She was so impressed with the abilities of homeopathic medicine she just had to study this wonderful, gentle way of repairing health. Too ill to travel, the British Institute of Homeopathy was a prayer answered, she studied while convalescing and became a professional homeopath.

Maria holds a Diploma of the Institute and a Doctorate of Homeopathic Medicine from the United Kingdom. She later earned her Clinical Nutrition Diploma. Maria is a past herbalist, grows culinary and medicinal herbs on her organic farm and was an Emergency Medical Technician for 15 years.
